We are delighted to announce that Danyal Dhondy has signed an exclusive contract with Wild Woods Music.

Danyal read Music at Churchill College, Cambridge, where his composition teachers included Robin Holloway, Alison Cox, Martin Butler, and Peter Wiegold.

A versatile musician, Danyal is also a busy violinist and violist, playing regularly with several orchestras and chamber ensembles in London and further afield. Recent projects include original music for the Grit Productions/Community 20 production of The Recognition of Sakuntala at the Union Theatre, Southwark, which received a Critics’ Choice in Time Out, and The Owl and the Pussy-Cat, a setting of Edward Lear for narrator and orchestra, which is due to receive its first performance, given by the Kensington Chamber Orchestra, in March 2010.

This year, WWM plans to release Danyal’s chamber works Four Prangs for flute, oboe, and clarinet, Hideous Jazz for piano trio, and his Sextet and Violin Sonata for sale, along with study scores of his ensemble works A Windy Day in Clapham, Dreamscape no. 1, and Dreamscape no. 2, performance materials for which will be available to hire.
